Our Team

C. Jared White, LCSW

President & CEO

Jared grew up in Utah & Arizona. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been an active participant in the area of assisting those with mental and developmental disabilities since 2004. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Utah State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University. He has vast experience with children and adults with mental and developmental disabilities and works to ensure that their personal, civil, and human rights are afforded them as required by law. Jared is the CEO. He owns and operates A New Hope, LLC. In his free time, Jared enjoys watching Star Wars, flying planes, traveling, and spending time with family.

Douglas Colman, Ph.D., MBA

Executive Director of Organizational Effectiveness & Development

Doug is from Alamosa, CO – a smaller town in southern Colorado. He completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Business in 2010 from Adams State University. He went on to complete his Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Leadership in 2013. He was then accepted into the Experimental Psychology program at Idaho State University. He finished his Ph.D. in 2018, graduating at the top of his class. Doug began consulting with A New Hope in 2016 while his wife, Rebekah, was working here. Upon graduating, Doug went to work at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse for two years as an Assistant Professor of Social and I/O Psychology, where he taught a variety of courses. He came to work full-time at A New Hope in 2020 and is our Executive Director of Organizational Effectiveness and Development. In his free time, he enjoys fly fishing, fly tying, flying airplanes, and spending time with his family.

Rebekah Colman, MBA, SHRM-CP

Chief Human Resource Officer

Rebekah grew up in Parker, Colorado; a suburb of Denver. She attended Adams State University in southern Colorado where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. She completed her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Leadership in 2014 where she graduated magna cum laude. In 2016, she went back and completed an emphasis in Healthcare Administration. Rebekah has been with A New Hope since 2014. She was the company’s Chief Operating Officer for several years before settling into her current role as the company’s Chief Human Resource Officer. She became certified in human resource management in 2022 after successfully passing the SHRM-CP exam. In her free time, she enjoys spending time and getting out with her family and dogs, reading, cleaning, cooking, and traveling. 

Monica White

Director of Quality Assurance

Monica first became interested in this field in high school where she became friends with a couple of classmates with disabilities. Since then, she has continued to work and find joy in helping and spending time with that population. She attended Snow College and later went on to graduate from Utah State University with a BS in Elementary and Special Education. She taught Special Education at an elementary school for 3 years before moving to Idaho. Since coming to Idaho she has worked with kids and adults in many capacities, including working at A New Hope since 2013. In her free time, Monica enjoys spending time with her family.

Dana White, M.Ed.

Executive Clinical Director

Dana grew up in Washington & Arizona. She is the Executive Clinical Director at A New Hope. She has an extensive background in Elementary Education and holds a Master of Education through Utah State University. Dana has vast experience working directly with children, adults, and their families to produce desirable outcomes and successes at home, at school, and in the community. She strongly believes that supporting the whole family receiving services produces the maximum benefit.  Dana has been with A New Hope since 2013. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, reading, travel, and spending time with her family. 

Laura Morgan, Ph.D.

DDA Clinical Director

Laura grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado; a beautiful city located at the base of Pikes Peak. She attended the University of Colorado where she graduated from their undergraduate honor’s program with high distinction in psychology. She continued exploring her undergraduate research interests concerning the formation of dyadic romantic partnerships and went on to receive her master’s degree in psychological science at the University of Colorado. In 2016, she moved to Pocatello, Idaho to pursue her doctoral degree. She received her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology with an emphasis in Social Psychology at the Idaho State University in 2019. She began working at A New Hope in 2021 as a behavioral intervention professional. After a short time, she was promoted to Clinical Director and currently oversees the children’s program at A New Hope. Laura is passionate about helping others and greatly enjoys working with families of adolescent children and their therapists to create a personalized behavioral intervention plan designed to develop social skills, teach functional life skills, and foster positive habits over a lifetime. Away from work, Laura enjoys spending time with her partner and their cats, reading, hiking, fishing, and pursuing other interests as a lifetime learner.

Robyn Nelson

Residential Habilitation Clinical Director

Robyn grew up in Lake Dallas, Texas, a small town outside the Dallas Metro area, before moving to Idaho years ago. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Communication from Idaho State University in 2014. Robyn is currently working of her Master’s of Social Work through Idaho State University and is expected to finish in 2025. Robyn started with A New Hope as a QIDP in 2018 after years of experience in this field. Currently, she oversees the adults in our Residential Habilitation (ResHab) program as the company’s Clinical Director of ResHab. She enjoys seeing the growth and progress of the participants as they become more independent in their daily lives. During her free-time, Robyn enjoys spending time with her family, camping, going to soccer games and concerts with her kids , and traveling!

Lauren Steed

Human Resource Manager

Lauren grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho and moved to Pocatello after graduating high school. Her care for those with disabilities started with her own two children, one with 1p36 Deletion Syndrome and the other with Autism Spectrum Disorder & ADHD. She started with A New Hope as a Direct Support Professional in 2017, eventually moving into an Administrative Assistant role in 2019, where her passion for Human Resources blossomed. She completed her Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management in 2023 where she graduated magna cum laude. In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going to concerts, crafting, and graphic design.
